Lead Naval Architect – Conceptual Design

Working as a Lead Designer in Vard Conceptual Design, you will be Vard’s technical point of contact towards our clients in the conceptual phase, working with them to create the solutions right for their need, also collaborating closely with our Sales department in order to optimize the ship design.

Main responsibilities

  • Be a lead designer in Vard Conceptual Design and create the right solution for the clients needs
  • Optimize ship design
  • Be the technical point of contact towards clients and our sales department
  • Project mangement in the conceptual phase project
  • Working closely with the other stakeholders in Vard
  • Collaborate with our Research and innovation department, bringing new solutions and technology into the ship design, working towards zero emissions

Some travel is to be expected in the position, visiting and participating in workshops with clients.

Qualifications

  • Relevant higher education, i.e. Naval Architecture, Engineering
  • Knowledge of certain vessel segments is an advantage
  • Being able to express yourself fluently in English (both written and spoken)
