Planner and Senior planner

VARD consists of nine shipyards and subsidiary companies in the areas of design, electro, piping, accommodation and handling systems. Our head office is localized in Ålesund, and we have approximately 8300 employees working in Norway, Romania, Brazil, Vietnam, Singapore, Croatia, Italy, India, Canada, US, Poland, Estonia, Chile and UK. VARD Group is looking for Project planners for the newly signed shipbuilding projects: As an active member of the core project team, the Project planner is working closely with the Project Manager and has an overview of all the project execution phases. The Project Planner is involved from contract to delivery of the vessel, and is responsible to coordinate, integrate and monitor the plans of all involved functions.
VARD Interiors is a specialized company for interior, insulation, piping, and HVAC-R installation in Vard Group AS. Our company is present in VARD shipyards in Norway, Romania, and Vietnam. We have also established a subsidiary in Romania and a branch in Italy. Our planning team is now searching for a Production planner who wants to participate in creating ships for the future. As a Production Planner you will have the opportunity to learn about most aspects of the ship building process in VARD. The position requires you to compile Progress Reports, set up and manage detailed Procurement plans as well as Interior, HVAC and Piping production and commissioning plans utilizing planning software. The production planner is working closely with the VARD Interiors production teams and the Project Planner.
SEAONICS head office is located in Ålesund, on the west coast of Norway, and offers customers the benefits of its experience from one of the world's longest and most extreme coastlines. During the last two years SEAONICS has developed specialized equipment, such as fully electric gangways and cranes for the maritime market, and we have grown significantly in number of employees, and products we offer. Duties and responsibilities
- Develop schedules containing all agreed activities, deliverables and milestones
- Maintain and manage date changes and progress, support Project Management in managing schedules
- Compile Progress Reports, detailed plans and commissioning programs, notifying the Project Team of deviations and potential issues
- Follow-up the hour budgets and deviations
Qualifications
The experienced candidate has:
- Experience from the shipbuilding industry
- Knowledge of Project Planning Management practices
- Experience with planning systems, such as Primavera P6 is an advantage
Both experienced and recent graduates have:
- Relevant education in an engineering or technical discipline (Bsc/Msc level)
- Good working knowledge of MS Office tools, especially excel
