Assistant Project Manager

Vard Interiors is a turnkey supplier of interior, insulation, and HVAC-R systems for the maritime industry. We offer a variety of different interior solutions and strive to provide an attractive working- and living environment on board for our customers.

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help support our projects in Norway and Romania. In this role you will help the PM follow up the contract, variation orders, procurement, plans and the progress onboard. Location in Norway will be at Vard Interiors office and the outfitting yard when the vessels are alongside.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Support the PM in following up procurement and logistics
  • Support the PM in following up plans
  • Help with following up engineering and production.
  • Follow up progress, reporting support to main project.
  • Some travel to Romania during the building period at the hull yard. 
  • Other tasks given by the PM.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in project management, logistics or supply chain management
  • Previous experience from project management in shipbuilding related industries
  • Knowledge of shipbuilding processes
  • HVAC or interior knowledge
  • Good computer skills (excel, word, PowerPoint)
