Marketing and Branding Specialist

“Greater Trondheim region” (Trondheimsregionen) is strengthening its strategic branding and marketing efforts towards international target groups. In order to showcase the region as an attractive place to work and invest in, two strategic initiatives are being launched and strengthened in 2024: The full implementation of a regional City Brand, including a brand new information and communication platform (Trondheim.com), and “WorkinTrondheim”.

“WorkinTrondheim” is an ambitious Talent Attraction Management program dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive work environment in Greater Trondheim region. Our mission is to attract, retain, and support international talents and professionals from diverse backgrounds, contributing to the growth and prosperity of businesses, research- and educational institutions and the local community.

In order to implement these strategic initiatives, Greater Trondheim region is looking to strengthen the team with enthusiastic and creative people! 

We are recruiting to the following positions that will work closely together – Program Manager for “WorkinTrondheim” and a Marketing and Branding Specialist (this listing).

Job description

  • “The Greater Trondheim Region” is developing a cohesive brand to boost the region's reputation, directly targeting the attraction of skilled talent and underscoring the compelling advantages of relocating, visiting, and investing in the area.
  • This goal mandates the collaboration of the region’s businesses, residents, cultural institutions, public organizations, and community groups, using the new brand. 
  • An important element of this strategy is the launch of a new Trondheim.com/Trondheim.no website, complemented by dedicated social media channels. 
  • Strategic planning, cooperation, and the production of captivating content and campaigns are important to the successful implementation and promotion of the city brand and its digital presence.
  • What you will be doing to make a difference:
  • Create strategies for launching and promoting the City Brand and WorkinTrondheim.
  • Increase awareness about Greater Trondheim region as a career destination.
  • Create compelling content for various channels, including social media, email newsletters, and website.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders in the region to create engagement and involvement in implementing the City Brand and WorkinTrondheim
  • Monitor and analyze key metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and optimize strategies accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing and branding, preferably in a digital environment.
  • Creative and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Proven experience in and motivation for content creation
  • Fluency in English is required. Some capabilities in Norwegian will be an advantage.
