Technical Support Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Technical Support Engineer, reporting to Team Manager – Technical Support. In this role, you will be a part of the Technical Support team, responsible for providing technical support on propulsion products to our internal and external customers. You will also contribute with technical assistance to cross-functional projects and to our sales organization. An essential part of the role will be taking an active part in developing technical documentation for Global Customer Support. Your contribution will be important to ensure that the organization’s objectives and goals are delivered.
You will be performing services through a product’s lifecycle span, from commissioning live product to legacy and into retirement.
Our product portfolio ranges from conventional propellers, azimuth propellers, gearboxes, tunnel thrusters to remote control systems.

Key accountabilities

  • Technical support for internal and external customers
  • Manage quotations, purchase orders, and preparation for invoicing
  • Single point of contact between KM and our customers
  • Quality assurance and technical documentation

Qualifications and experience

  • Technical education or background (e.g., machinery) is an advantage
  • Mechanical and hydraulically technical knowledge
  • Work experience from commercial-/customer-oriented roles
  • Good oral and written English and Norwegian communication skills

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
