We are looking for Telecom Senior Engineer for Offshore Wind
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer to work with detail engineering in a large project for an unmanned operated offshore wind substation (HVDC) within the telecom discipline.
The right candidate will join a major green field project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within telecommunication systems design in a HVDC converter station and personal skills in a large international project-working environment.
Typical tasks:
- Define and specify design solutions for required telecom sub systems.
- Follow up telecom vendors and vendors technical documentation.
- Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations, and client.
- Develop engineering documents and update data registers.
- Participate in relevant test activities, workshops and reviews.
- Site support to fabrication yard
Qualifications:
- Master, or Bachelor degree or relevant technical education.
- Ex course
- FSE course
- Long relevant practical experience may outweigh and compensate for a lack of formal education.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience from Telecom engineering and telecom system design activities within greenfield oil and gas or wind projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.
- Experience and deep knowledge of telecom design according to relevant standards such as
- NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC.
- Efficient communicator, who communicates well in English.
- Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
- A natural team player but possess the ability to work independently.
- Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
- Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others.
- Innovative approach, eager to improve methodology and solutions.
- Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standards.
- Knowledge of Norwegian language would be advantageous.
Important with valid work permit for Norway if not located in Norway.
